The Foodture
The Foodture was an international learning initiative focused on ‘sustainable food and nutrition’ for students and lecturers from nutrition-related programmes across Europe.
It began in 2017 as a co-creation week and developed into an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), attracting participants from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
This mixed background contributed significantly to the key objective of developing professional skills for international collaboration on sustainability. This required crossing borders and entrepreneurial thinking through innovation and creativity.
The main objectives were always about fostering professional and 21st-century skills for international teamwork.
Since 2021, the Foodture concept expanded to include a series of online sessions (the Foodture Academy) alongside a physical exchange week (the Foodture Meets). The overall programme was recognised for 3 ECTS, and participants could benefit from Erasmus+ short mobility funding.
